    Connect Zoom

    In Blockit, open Integrations in the sidebar, choose Zoom, and sign in. Zoom becomes your default video link unless you've already chosen a different one.

    Ask Blockit to schedule

    CC Blockit on an email or message it in Slack, the way you already do.

  3. 03

    The invite goes out with a Zoom link

    Blockit creates a new Zoom meeting for each booking and puts the join link and meeting details in the calendar invite.

An admin connects once

A Blockit admin starts it from Team Settings and a Zoom admin approves it. Teammates don't connect anything themselves.

When Blockit books for a teammate on your Zoom account, it creates the meeting under their own Zoom user, matched by calendar email, so the link in the invite is theirs and they host.

What Blockit accesses
Zoom user details, to pick the right host, and the meetings Blockit creates. With Zoom for Admin, it looks up teammates in your Zoom account by email.
What Blockit stores
The Zoom connection, the meetings Blockit creates, and when the host and first guest joined them. Your team's Zoom user list is looked up live, not stored.
How to disconnect
Disconnect personal Zoom from Integrations at any time. Admins remove the Zoom for Admin app in Zoom. Either way, Blockit deactivates the connection and clears its tokens.

FAQs

Do I need a paid Zoom plan?
No. Blockit doesn't check your Zoom plan, so a free Basic account connects the same way a paid one does. With Zoom for Admin, both Basic and Licensed users in your Zoom account can host. Zoom's own limits for your plan still apply to the meetings.
Can I still use Google Meet or Teams for some meetings?
Yes. With Zoom as your default, you can still ask for Google Meet or Microsoft Teams on a particular meeting, and Blockit uses your calendar's own conferencing for that one: Meet on Google Calendar, Teams on Outlook.
What if the person I'm meeting isn't on Zoom?
They join from the link in the invite. Blockit puts the join link in the invite and adds the meeting ID, the passcode, and up to three one-tap dial-in numbers to the description when Zoom provides them, so guests can also call in by phone.
